Club Code Book 1: The Mysterious E-Mail Chapter 4



Chapter 4: The Book
Carl looked completely embarrased about his mistake. "Well, should we show mom when she's up?" "Well," Karl said as he picked up a copy of a book called Club Code Book 1: The Mysterious E-Mail. "It says here that we should, because we shouldn't just leave without mom knowing where we are, and-" "Hey! Where did you get that?" asked Carl. "I found it." "Let me see that!" Carl shouted as he shoved Karl over. "It also says that you found this book and said, "It says here that we should, because we shouldn't just leave without mom knowing where we are, and - and that's where I shouted, "Hey! Where did you get that?" Then you say, "I found it." Next, I shove you over and I say "Let me see that!" And then it says I say "It also says that you found this book and said, "It says here that we should, because we shouldn't just lea-" "ALL RIGHT! WE GET IT, OKAY?" "Hey! You do know that whatever we say and do goes into this book, right?" "Duh! I know we're made up characters in a book because it says the raining gumdrops-" "Huh? Raining gumdrops?" Carl flipped the pages of the book untill he found these sentences: Karl looked ahead of the book to see the part with the raining gumdrops. Carl was baffled when Karl said the words "raining gumdrops." So Carl flipped the pages of the book untill he found these sentences: Karl looked ahead of the book to see the part with the raining - At this point, Carl slammed the book shut, squinted, and looked sideways without tilting his head. "This can't get any more dumb, can it?" "Oh," Karl laughed. "It sure can!" Karl grabbed a piece of paper off the ground and wrote:
Carl loves dolls and unicorns. He also peed in his pants.
"What did you do?" Carl asked. He flipped through a few pages untill he read this:

Carl loves dolls and unicorns. He als - Carl looked up and held his breath. "THAT'S IT! I'M PUTTING THIS BOOK AWAY!" When he did, he sat down. Carl looked at the clock on his computer. "It's 5:21. And Karl, let's pretend none of that happened and we're still goofing off at our computer. "Okay," Karl giggled. "So that means that the contest will be held on March 3."
